I was down for the past couple of weeks with COVID and I’m happy to say that I’m feeling a lot better. We had a very successful Corn Booth and sold out of corn and are very grateful for all the volunteers that helped and to the Corn Booth committee for all of their hard work and dedication in ensuring that this event was a success. We had a hard time filling all of the shifts and we can't thank enough the student volunteers that were there every day. We just couldn't have done it without them. In the future we will need to find ways to fill all of the shifts in order to ensure the success of this great fundraiser event. We will be reviewing the final financial report at the next board meeting and will pass on the results to the club.
August is Club Membership month and it is a great time to reflect on the reasons why we join rotary and share those stories with fellow club members. So please send me your stories and we will share them with the club in future bulletins and social media posts.
What made you decide to become a Rotarian? How has Rotary affected your life? What is your most memorable experience? What are you expecting to gain from Rotary? Or anything else you would like to share with the club. Within the next couple of weeks we will be sending out a membership survey. Please keep an eye out for it.
This month's Rotary Magazine included the results of an international membership survey. Check out the results in the link below:

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel this month’s social event. We are looking forward to next month’s event at Joey’s place.
Our next in person meeting will be on Tuesday August 23rd at Noon. The honorable Rob Nicholson will share with us stories about the great reputation that Canada has around the world in a question and answer format. It will be a great opportunity to invite prospective members.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
